Vanity Case

In my Nana’s back-bedroom There was a vintage vanity case Of mustard yellow, with two black stripes down the very centre.
And a slight indentation on one side.
A battle-scar from a rather nasty bustup with
An Aquascutum hatbox
In the luggage compartment of the
City-bound 10:44.

Whenever I visited, I would lift the lid Inhale the faded scent of Chanel And peer at my distorted reflection
In the cracked mirror.
My childlike features oddly misshaped; A jagged line through my round cheeks would
Amuse me for hours.

I'm sure you'll all be delighted to know I'm still alive. Just.

So so sorry for not coming on here, I've been so busy with exams, revision, summer, running guide units, making excuse to friends and of course, work. Oh, don't. If you're ever offered the opportunity to clean an entire golf course in 3 hours, just say no. That's all I'm saying. I also waitress and do the bar, especially at weddings and other external functions and the like, so I'm still waiting for someone I vaguely know from my old school or something to march in and have to face the ensuing awkward exchange.

I've been taking part in a few artistic pursuits, still no hardware I'm afraid but I do have
(and in the words of the Smiths: bloody awful) poetry. Expect intermittent uploads when I can be bothered, if you actually give a darn.

Anyway, seeing as I haven't logged in since the turn of the century, I have an obscene number of deviations and messages to check.
